R.T.E
This is a major development for Radio Telefís Éireann, the Irish National Public Service Broadcasting Organisation. The office accommodation is designed around a central atrium using natural ventilation and maximizing daylight.
The space provides a feature with movement and interest. Water steps were designed using granite setts edged with stone copings. The water feature is accommodated within a split level planter bed and is orientated to face the centre of the atrium where informal seating is intended.
Large Ficus longifolia trees together with other bold plant forms surround the water feature. Other plants include Pandanus utilis, Ficus lyrata and Bambusa varieties. Opposite this feature a number of Ficus longifolia plants stand in timber planters.
