Grosvenor Waterside

Grosvenor Waterside is located on the north bank of the River Thames alongside the Thames Water Western Pumping Station and mainline railway into Victoria Station. The Grosvenor Waterside scheme is a phased regeneration project that seeks to redevelop two brownfield sites, primarily for residential use. The two sites were formerly occupied by Westminster Council and Thames Water.

The site contained TPO trees and listed buildings. As part of the services provided, CFA undertook the landscape and visual impact assessment for Bramah House.

An Enhanced Masterplan was produced in 2004. Fundamental to this masterplan were the clear definition of the public realm and the promotion of distinct areas within the site. At the centre of the scheme will be a hard-landscaped urban dockside area. The inner dock basin was reconfigured and redefined to allow public access and interaction with the waterspace. Material choices included bonded gravel, timber decking and granite paving underfoot. The remainder of the site includes a main square and seeks to provide a residential environment punctuated with soft landscape and children’s play spaces. Specimen semi-mature trees will line the water and entrance avenue.
